Sik Fan

Sik Fan is an illustration that depicts the love language of food. It portrays myself enjoying a homemade meal of rice and steamed fish. The term “sik fan” in Cantonese translates to “eat rice,” but it carries the meaning that it’s time to gather around and enjoy a meal together. Although there were times my family couldn’t be together to eat, my parents always made sure food was prepared for us. That was how they showed their love.
