Resilience in Colour
Mural illustrations for City of Toronto - Toronto Shelter and Support Services (TSSS) located at Junction Place Shelter for Men
Resilience in Colour consists of four murals that reflect the diversity and strength of the Junction Place shelter clients and staff. These colourful illustrations aim to brighten the space and foster meaningful connections through scenes of people working together, supporting each other, and enjoying activities. The work is inspired by the lived experiences of local community members who share stories of resilience, hope, and new beginnings.
These murals were created with the support of ArtWorksTO, a program that provides opportunities for Indigenous, Black, or Persons of Colour (IBPOC) youth to gain professional experience, skills, and connections in the media arts.
